The aim of the conference was to re-address the issue of e-Government not only under the
perspective of technology but also as a tool for re-organising the way in which the public sector
and the citizens interact. The main question set by the conference was: the possibilities for the
enhancement of the democratic processes and the transformation of the government processes in order
to make lives easier for the citizen by renewing the role of government itself in
society.
The themes of the presentations included:
